BOB Revolution Duallie 12” AW: This Stroller Takes Two!

My son and daughter are three years apart. So you might think that I should hardly need a double stroller since my son is old enough to walk alongside me. How wrong you would be! Strollers are key to my daily survival as the mom of a dawdling preschooler. But, admittedly, my tall son is getting a bit big for most doubles.

Enter the BOB Revolution Duallie 12” AW ($589.99). The answer to my I-just-want-to-get-to-destinations-on-time-without-stopping-a-hundred-times prayers. This stroller — which I got to test drive in the subtle, but sleek, black color — is amazing. For starters, there’s a lot of room so my son fits really well in the seat and doesn’t spill out the sides.

But more importantly, the ride is so incredibly smooth that I’ve actually found myself struggling when I bring out the single stroller because I’m so used to the amazingly easy ride from the Revolution Duallie 12” AW. It really is incredible. I can even push two kids with one hand… and that’s saying something.

Designed to fit urban spaces, the Revolution Duallie 12” AW has a compact design and smaller back wheels than the other BOB doubles. And as a result of its nice small size, this stroller is very easy to fold and transport around the city. The swiveling front wheel means tight turns are easy – a feature we city-dwellers appreciate when we pass a great skirt in a store window and need to turn back right away!

Also, like all BOB strollers, the Revolution Duallie 12” AW is built from superior quality materials and is designed to last through multiple years and children.

And a couple of little extra features I love: the 5-point harnesses are really easy to adjust so if your kids like to switch sides, it’s really no problem at all. And the canopies open individually way down over the passengers — I find my son loves this feature so much that when he hops into our single stroller I notice him unsuccessfully trying to pull the canopy down.

The BOB Revolution Duallie 12” AW really is a perfect double stroller for a city-dwelling family.

this is the greatest double stroller that has ever lived, so to speak. it handles beautifully, folds down easily and is a wonderful running companion. i LOVE my bobs (i have a single ironman and a dualie revolution). i wish i wouldn’t have bought my maclaren twin techno. YEA BOB!

i also have the bob 12″ duallie, and it’s an awesome double stroller for me. I have two year old twin girls, the youngest two of my 6 (total) kids. Some of my others were close in age, and i’d used the graco, the combi, the peg aria etc . but NONE have come even close to the bob duallie. It’s pricey, but worth the splurge. It handles beautifully (one hand will do it) and i also run about 5 miles a few times a week and my twins ALWAYS fall asleep on our run, and the ride is smooth and relaxing. The sun shades are awesome and come down plenty far to cover their little faces on sunny days, and the front wheel can also be used in swivel mode at the mall and in small spaces, i do it all the time, and it’s by far the best stroller, and it fits through most doorways. I really have never had a problem fitting anywhere with it. martha

Great overview of the Duallie AW! I think it’s also important to note that each seat has a deep recline (independent of the other seat) and there is an optional infant seat adapter too that fits it. So, for a young infant in an infant seat, and a toddler in the other seat, this is still a great solution!
