In better late than never news, Detroit Red Wings player Kirk Maltby and his wife Wendy welcomed fraternal twins over the summer. Baby boy Landon and baby girl Leighton were born on Thursday, July 17th. Although no further details were released, Kirk did share that the couple is adjusting to life with twins. Says Kirk,

"It’s been a lot of … not sleepless nights, but broken-sleep nights, feedings and all that fun stuff. It’s definitely double duty and double the work, but it’s fun."

Landon and Leighton join big sister Ella, 4. The pregnancy was announced after Kirk and his team accepted the Stanley Cup back in June.

Pretty names…is Leighton pronounced LAY-ton or LEE-ton? Either way, I like the names!
