Looks Can Be Deceiving, Says Kim Raver

Roger Wong/INF

For Lipstick Jungle star Kim Raver, shooting seasons 1 and 2 of the hit NBC show presented more than a few awkward moments, as she was at first concealing her pregnancy with son Leo Kipling, 1 year — and then later concealing her postpartum body. Of the love scene she filmed with co-star Robert Buckley, Kim smiled and said "that was interesting at 6 months [pregnant]." It was nothing compared to her return to the set just three weeks after giving birth however.

Just as she told Cookie magazine, Kim recalled during a Friday appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly that after one scene, her weakened stomach muscles left her stranded on a table long after the cast and crew had walked off. "They called ‘cut’ and I was like…Guys? Wait? Hello? I can’t get up!," the 39-year-old actress said with a laugh. Kim found no relief when the cameras stopped rolling either. During a wardrobe fitting, she admits she "stuffed herself" into the dresses which had been chosen for her. "I told everyone to turn around, because I literally had to stuff my bum and my boobs into these dresses."

"It seems like a glamorous show, but the first few weeks were really rough."

In addition to Leo, Kim is mom to 6-year-old Luke West with husband Manu Boyer.

I love Lipstick Jungle, such a fun show. And I had no idea she was pregnant during the filming, guess they did a good job hiding it because I never noticed! She looks fantastic.

Lipstick jungle is a great show, and one of my favorite celebrity moms and actresses vanessa marcil is joining the show soon. Kim’s sons have very cute names.
