Three Kids are More Than Enough for Katey Sagal

In a Thursday appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show, Katey Sagal marveled at the amount of work involved with three children as opposed to two. The age range between her kids — eldest daughter Sarah Grace is 14, while youngest daughter Esmé Louise is 21 months and 12-year-old son Jackson James is sandwiched in-between — only adds to the challenge for the 54-year-old actress. "It’s nuts," Katey admits admits. "It’s good nuts, but three is way different than two."

"It’s not so much having a baby [that's difficult], it’s having three children rather than two. It’s so much more than two."

Esmé is Katey’s daughter with husband Kurt Sutter; Sarah and Jackson are her children from a previous marriage. Katey can currently be seen on Sons of Anarchy, airing on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.

I didint know Katey had any children,it comes as a pleasant surprise to me,are they all her biological children?She looks great for her age by the way

Katey carried her two older children. The youngest was carried by a surrogate.

I personally think 3 kids is a nice size family. It’s not too small, yet not overwhelming with too many kids and too many expenses. I think having 2 kids as oppose to one child, is the biggest change of all, but with 3 you can get a bit outnumbered, especially if they are close in age. With katey though, her older two kids are much older than the baby, so I would think it’s easier than say someone like heidi who has 3 kids all one year apart. Marisol her oldest 2 are her bio kids, the last was carried by a surrogate so i’m not sure if those were katey’s eggs or not.

I found going from 2 kids to 3 was the easiest transition!

I will always remember when she had a stillbirth prior to her eldest daughter being born. Her pregnancy was even written into Married With Children. Wonderful to see her with a busy family!
