What I wonder is if Matthew Broderick are still having marital problems with SJP. It’s funny my hubby looks a lot like Matthew Broderick. When he popped the question and bought me a diamond engagement ring from people joke that I married ferris bueller!

He is such a good mix of both Matthew and Sarah, but I see Sarah a tad bit more.

nothing make me happier than seeing a parent set a good example for their child. i think we should applaud matt for wearing a helmet(and a matching one none the less!)

there are a group of children at the end of my street who NEVER wear their helmets and their parents do not seem to care. the job of a parent to set good examples for our children. should we really expect them to do something that we do not do ourselves? it just breaks my heart that there are children out there who may suffer injuries simply because they were not wearing a helmet.

In May my 8-year-old daughter suffered a skull fracture and a 7mm brain bleed because she took off riding her bike without her helmet. We were lucky and she has fully recovered. No parent should ever have to hear the words “your child could die from this injury.” None of my kids are allowed to ride without their helmets now. Not even the two year old on his trike. The bikes and trikes are hung from the garage ceiling and not taken down until the helmets are in place.

I completely agree with Jacky! Good job Matthew!! I love their little family. They seem to have a lot of fun together.

It’s cute how they ride together, I don’t think the helmets are necesary though.

Kudos to Matthew for wearing a helmet too! If I had a dollar for every time I saw a family biking, rollerblading, etc. with the kids wearing helmets and not the parents … I’d be able to do a lot of shopping from the advertising merchants here🙂

Yes, children are more vulnerable to head injury, but it’s so important that parents model the behaviors for children’s safety. Seeing mom or dad do it – wearing a seatbelt, helmet, etc. – will help kids understand how important it is, and it’s not something “just for kids.”

Every time I see a picture of Matthew wearing his helmet along with James I have to nod in agreement. Children do learn by observing and Matthew is doing a great job. I mean this is foot-scootering, not like a scooter bike with a motor, but a little foot pushing thing, and here he’s wearing a helmet when he really doesn’t need one. It would be wonderful if all parents followed that kind of example. All it takes is one whap on the hard road or sidewalk and a child’s life is in danger. So yeah, strap on those helmets even if they make one look dorky and get helmet-hair.
