As a mom to two teenagers on the television show Gossip Girl, Kelly Rutherford keeps the lines of communication open with her on-screen kids. Similarly, the actress thinks moms should be open and honest with each other when it comes to pregnancy, motherhood, and…Botox!

"I think it’s beautiful that people are sharing," she told PEOPLE Tuesday at the Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure Charity Shopping event in New York City. "We sit around at lunch and ask each other [questions], so why not saywe had postpartum, giving birth is hell but the children are amazing –and I get Botox."

Kelly, 39, said she had the treatment once before becoming pregnant with son Hermès Gustaf Daniel, who turns 2 on Saturday, adding, "I think there’s a certain age that if you like having it, go for it."

However, the actress, married to Daniel Giersch, said she’s put her procedures on hold, hinting that the couple may have another baby on the way in the future. "I decided I wasn’t going to do it all again until I’ve had two kids and finished nursing them. Then it’s a free-for-all."

To each their own, but if she started injecting her face when she was younger than 37, what will she do once she is 57?
So far I have yet to see one person who gets botoxed and is in my eyes prettier or even younger looking. They just look tense. It’s a pity, because Kelly Rutherford has a really pretty face.

I think Kelly is such a natural beauty.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
