Geoff Jenkins had a once in a lifetime day on Wednesday. Not only did his team, the Philadelphia Phillies, clinch the National League pennant, but he became a father for the second time. The outfielder and his wife Jennifer welcomed son Justyce Tyler Jenkins at 12:59 p.m. at Huntingdon Hospital in Pasadena, Calif. Jennifer had driven from the couple’s Phoenix, Arizona home for her husband’s game as the couple "didn’t think [delivery] was even on the radar. The due date wasn’t for another 3 ½ weeks." However, Justyce had a different timeline in mind. After the birth, Geoff headed to join his team and shared that, "I was joking that this is a chance for two miracles in one day. I told her I was going to spray her with champagne."

Justyce is the couple’s first son and joins sister Logan, 21 months.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
