With her due date quickly approaching, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is wrapping up her baby preparations. The 24-year-old singer and her mom Tina hit the shops on Montana Ave this weekend, picking up a big bag of gear at Jenny Bec’s toy store, as well as a ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ print at Every Picture Tells a Story.

Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy expect their first child this fall.

Ashlee looks so cute. I can’t wait to see what the baby looks like and what the name will be. Ashlee and Pete will be wonderful parents. Pete said last month that they are fairly certain the baby will be a BOY, I don’t care as long as it is healthy. Only time will tell….

Ever since I first heard they were expecting I straight away said it is a boy… I just have a feeling.

Will probably be proved wrong now hehe…

I have no idea what gender Pete & Ashlee’s baby will be, but no doubt either gender it’ll have an interesting punk inspired wardrobe.

If Jessica was having a baby, she’d probably be buying traditonal pink frills for a girl, or denims & a mini jersey for a boy! lol!
