After many all-nighters, most parents begin to look for solutions on dealing with their children during the night; however, when it comes to finally implementing the new rules, the effort may take an even greater toll. Despite the plea for advice on dealing with sleepless nights last month, Brooke Burke admits that in all reality, she and her fiancé David Charvet "are all too tired" to "spend any extra minutes to correct our sleepless nights." In fact, although the 37-year-old shared that her youngest daughter, Heaven Rain, 21 months, had been waking up in the night, Brooke now says that her time away from her during the day due to her rehearsal schedule makes special moments, "even if it’s 1:30 a.m., delicious." While Brooke and Rain may be soaking up their few mommy-daughter moments these days, the Dancing With the Stars contestant says those days are numbered.
"As soon as I finish the show, some tough love will be in order."
With a demanding schedule, Brooke is appreciating all the time she spends with her kids — including Neriah, 8 ½, Sierra Sky, 6 ½, and Shaya Braven, 7 months. Most recently, she shares that her hectic days at the studio "have been starting … a bit later this week," allowing for the family to spend mornings together watching the two youngest parade around their home. "Shaya is crawling all over the house and Rain is right there with him pretending to be Mama," says Brooke. With family as her number one priority, the actress is all about making memories, including last week’s performance which featured Neriah. Blogging about the dance, Brooke says it was a "special night for my family and Neriah could not have been more precious. Time is flying by so fast in our lives."
Rain and Shaya are Brooke’s children with David; Neriah and Sierra are her daughters with ex-husband Dr. Garth Fisher.
