Despite a tantruming toddler, Project Runway judge Nina Garcia keeps a smile on her face while out with 18-month-old son Lucas Alexander on Thursday in Los Angeles. Dad is David Conrod. On the topic of dressing her son, Nina recently told Strollerderby:

"The designer labels he wears are all gifts …  But, me? I buy him the inexpensive stuff. I seehow careless he is with his clothes, and he’ll outgrow them in twoweeks. Every mom out there knows that there is nothing better thanbeing practical."

Nina, 43, who holds the title of Fashion Director for Marie Claire, will appear on the Project Runway finale, airing next Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

For some reason I thought she had a girl, while I was totally wrong. My niece who is now almost three only wore crocks at that age, they were easy for her to put on and take off by herself, making them her favorite foot wear.

I can understand Tim’s comment about Crocs for adults (unless, as Stacy and Clinton said, you’re a nurse or a chef), but even for kids I’ve had issues. No, I’m not a mom, but I work in the child care industry, and have seen more than a few accidents from children tripping over their Crocs. But I’m sure for running errands with mom, they’re perfect. Just not at school or in the daycare.

Nina looks very pretty in her au natural look, and her kid is very cute.

I don’t think Nina was pregnant while shooting Project Runway. I think she had just given birth when they shot season 4. (I hope I didn’t get the season’s confused.)

Nina is very petite I believe, so that probably doesn’t help. I bet if we saw him with his dad he’s a peanut! The amount of hair makes him look a lot older I think.
