The next time you’re watching Desperate Housewives and think you see a tiny pair of feet poking out from under a table or a chair, your eyes might not be deceiving you after all. Actress Felicity Huffman, who plays Lynette on the hit show, says that her two daughters with husband William H. MacySofia Grace, 8, and Georgia Grace, 6 — have been hidden extras in numerous scenes. The girls didn’t understand "the whole acting thing" at first, Felicity explained during a Monday appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, but now that the show is in its fifth season they’ve definitely gotten the hang of things. They’ve also figured out how to make the most of their time on the set!

"[The director] yells ‘Rolling!’ and they’ll go and make little nests under tables and under chairs. They go to craft services and get food and pillows first … so there’s all these group scenes where my kids are hiding. And then they yell ‘Cut!’ and the girls hop up and hang out and run around."

Desperate Housewives airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Since I’ve never heard any background on the name choices of the daughters, I have to wonder if Grace is a family name since both girls have it for their middle names. I love the name Grace.

Mom Said It

"It helps that other moms had said that once they had their babies, they forgot they were ever pregnant. So once my focus became the baby and not the pregnancy, it was a very easy decision."
