Skip Hop Pronto Changing Wallet: A Real Life Changer

10/07/2008 at 06:00 AM ET

As new parents, my husband and I found changing our daughter’s diaper while out and about to be a real bummer!  After sifting through various diaper bags—from basic to designer—we finally discovered the concept of a changing wallet, a changing pad that unfolds to reveal an adequate changing surface as well as pockets for all of your essential diaper changing needs. With our second child arriving any day now, I was recently given the Skip Hop Pronto Changing Wallet ($30).

With a sleek design and mod inner lining that is available in a variety of colors, the Pronto is not only more stylish than The First Years model I used with my daughter, its overall layout and features make it much more functional. Though folded, the Pronto is quite compact, the pad unfolds to reveal a rather large 21 ½” x 21 ½” changing surface, adequate enough for changing even a squirmy toddler yet small enough to fit nicely on a compact changing area.  Also, unlike my previous changing wallet where the diaper supply pockets dangled awkwardly from the side, the Pronto’s design keeps everything at hands reach, right by your infant’s head.

The Skip Hop Pronto Changing Wallet is a great addition to any seasoned parent’s diapering arsenal.  For newbies, this thing is sure to be a real-life changer!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
