kelly, apparently a fair # of women have contractions without their water breaking. from what i’ve read, both OBs are correct. if you have contractions and your water doesn’t break you wait till so far apart before coming in, where the OB will then probably break your water. if your water breaks, come in right away b/c of fear of infection.

Funny, my ob told me to count the minutes between contractions and not come until they were so far apart…luckily we moved and had a better ob who told me that, if my water broke, I needed to get there ASAP…I didn’t feel any contractions until I was ready to push out my first child! Crazy!

I thought Stella was born in 2003? Molly’s kids are close together I thought, aren’t they 17 or 18 mos apart?
