Introducing MAGHOUND: For Money-Conscious Magazine Readers

09/27/2008 at 07:00 AM ET

Everyone loves magazines, but subscription and newsstand prices can oftentimes be a deterrent from purchasing your favorite reads. Time Inc, the publishing giant that owns Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, InStyle and PEOPLE, among others, understands this, and recently introduced MAGHOUND, a new service that lets you subscribe to several magazines for one low monthly price.

MAGHOUND currently offers a library of 230 titles — you can subscribe to 3, 5 or 7 per month, for one fee (although some magazines are a few dollars more). Instead of subscribing to the individual magazines, you’re subscribing to the MAGHOUND service itself. What’s cool about that is you can switch the magazines you subscribe to at any time; you’re not locked into a year-long contract with any one publication. It’s kind of like Netflix, although the best part is that you never have to return anything!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
