Houston Astros' Jack Cassel Welcomes Daughter Nellie Ann

Houston Astros’ Jack Cassel, 28, is a first-time dad after he and wife Julie welcomed daughter Nellie Ann Cassel at 5:35 a.m. on Monday, September 22nd in California. She weighed 6 lbs, 5 oz and was 19 ½ inches long.

If Nellie follows in her family’s footsteps, she will be a very athletic little girl! Not only is her dad a relief pitcher, but her uncles play professional sports also. Matt Cassel has stepped up to replace an injured Tom Brady as quarterback for the New England Patriots and Justin Cassel is a minor league baseball player.

Aw….the name Nellie is so pretty and sweet. Reminds me of “Little House on the Prairie”. And I must say….this guy is adorable! Yum!
