In better late than never news, Olympic skater Paul Wylie and his wife, Kate, welcomed their third child — and first son — on Wednesday, March 5th. Baby boy Caleb Jotham Wylie weighed in at 10 lbs and measured 23 inches. He joins big sisters Hannah, 4 ½, and Emma, 2.

The pregnancy was reported back in February. Paul, 43, earned a silver medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France.

I love the name Caleb. Paul Wylie’s my favorite skating commentator, he really makes the sport sing.

Aww! I had SUCH a huge crush on Paul Wylie for YEARS when I was a little girl. All I wanted to do was grow up and win a gold medal like Kristi Yamaguchi and then marry Paul Wylie (I was eight :) ).

So sweet…congratulations to his family.

Congrats! I’m a skater, too, and when naming my cats I chose Wylie as one of the names in honor of him. He’s always been a class act and my favorite skater.

10 lbs and 23 inches? Dang, you know Paul is kind of a petite fella (he’s 5’4″). I wonder how tall his wife is. That’s one chubba-wubba for two petite parents!
