After life with 2 kids and a garage full of strollers, I can easilysay that the Maclaren Volo ($99) is my favorite. The Volo takes its place as numero unobecause it is light-weight, durable, portable and comfortable. I caneasily sling it over my shoulder while running with a kid and anoverloaded diaper bag.How on earth moms navigate city or suburban life with huge, bulky pramsis beyond me. When I’m running from the train to the car I want to getin and go. And, five years later, this stroller looks barely used, though ithas seen its fare share of international travel.
Rubber wheels have an ultrasmooth ride and can handle light bumps.I also appreciate the quiet ride (no plastic wheel grind) and turningcapabilities. The five point harness safety strap is comfortable andeasy to adjust. There is a roomy basket below the seat that can doubleas a shopping basket for a quick trip. The seat is made of a super durable fabric that is light, easy toclean and comfy. My children have both napped endlessly in the seatwhich doesn’t recline, but seems to snuggle them nicely. Plus, the colors always look fresh andhip.
The stroller weighs approximately 9 pounds, and can be used from about 6 months (or when baby can sit up) through 55 pounds. Available accessories include a seat pad, footmuff, parasol, carry bag, and Mac Sac diaper bag.
