IsABelt: Maintain Your Mom Modesty

IsABelt

As a mom, I am constantly bending over to pick up toys or my daughter. Because I favor low-rise jeans, inevitably, there will be a little bit of me peeking out between my top and bottom and my husband is often there totease me about my derriere detail or whale tail (when your thong sticks out above your pants). But not since I starting wearing the IsABelt! Made from a clear stretchy plastic, the IsABelt ($16.95) is a narrow belt that resembles a bra strap. Just thread the IsABelt through your pant loops, fasten the ends, tuck under the button of your jeans, and your pants will no longer gape open at the back.

Don’t wear the IsABelt to keep your pants up- use it to avoid anyembarrassing display of skin when you bend over or crouch. It alsohelps keep jeanskirts from spinning around your waist throughout theday. Just make sure you don’t pull the belt too tight or it will pull the belt loops up.

The IsABelt is available in five sizes, including a Plus size that fits waists up to 50" and a Junior size for girls’ sizes 6/6X-12, which have four cute patterns. Also, for a limited time, a Breast Cancer Awareness version will be available, with a pink ribbon pattern printed on the belt.

Every now and then I come across a product that takes me a little whileto wrap my brain around, but once I try it, I discover it’s a must-have andstart telling everyone about it. This is one of those products.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
