Why We're Loving Seventh Generation Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products
Natural Glass & Surface Cleaner – Ruby Grapefruit & Herb |
If you are looking for non-toxic, cleaning products that don’t have noxious fumes and are better for our environment, check out Seventh Generation. (Click here for my recent review of their chlorine-free diapers.) My bathroom is now sparkling clean thanks to their Natural Glass & Surface Cleaner – Ruby Grapefruit & Herb and their Natural Tub & Tile Cleaner – Emerald Cypress and Fir. For the first time I didn’t have to go running from the bathroom to escape cleaning fumes, yet the results were the same as with a regular cleaner. Their Natural Dish Liquid doesn’t dry my skin out and does a good job of cleaning my mounds of dishes, bottles and breast pump parts. These cleaning products are non-toxic, biodegradable, plant based, and free of VOC’s, alcohols, solvents, and dyes — they’re even kosher-certified. A free and clear version of the glass and surface cleaner is available, without fragrances or dyes.
They also make a wonderful baby laundry detergent. This gentle detergent did a terrific job of getting out all the food stains on my children’s clothes, as well as on our cloth diapers. It is non-toxic and biodegradable, free of phosphates and brighteners, is safe for septic systems and is hypo-allergenic. Free of fragrances and dyes, the small container size made it easy to hold. One 50 oz. container washed around 16 loads of laundry. Seventh Generation recommends running full loads of laundry to conserve water. Nicole Richie uses this detergent for her daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, and other celebs who love this brand include Tobey and Jen Maguire, Sheryl Crow, Chantal Kreviazuk, Anna Getty, Michelle Williams and Julia Roberts.
