Tea Collection Fall 2008: Fjords, Forests and Daily Tea

If you routinely travel the world of children’s fashion by way of Tea Collection, grab your passport and make room for a stamp from Norway. A recent trip there led the designers at Tea Collection to craft their fall 2008 line, ‘Fjords and Forests.’ For the boys, expect lots of earth tones and blues in warm, cozy fabrics like pima cotton and herringbone twill. I especially like the Stallheim Fairisle Zip Pullover Sweater ($69), inspired by a Norwegian artisan’s blanket. For the girls, vibrant shades of plum and spruce dominate the landscape, like in the Fjord Jumper ($55) — beautifully done in a traditional Norwegian plaid — and in the funky, floral cowl necked Rasmussen Floral Knit Dress ($45).
