OMG! I told my friend that when she was pregnant with her son! I said “Do you realise you have a tiny penis inside you?” She just stared at me, and grinned.

Fun Fact – Alex played Sookie in the Pilot of Gilmore Girls until they changed actresses.

- JC on

Actually JC she played Drella the harpist at the Independence Inn. I know WAAAYY too much about Gilmore Girls! So they must have met and married before GG.

Good for them!

- kelly on

Oh, and then she played Miss Celine the stylist in GG as well.

- kelly on

i loved him on gilmore girls but ive got to say that name is a little bit…out there Barnaby? really?

- Kelly on

Barnaby doesn’t seem that “out there” to me.
It’s a very old school name… with Barney being the shorter version.

- fuzibuni on

I know she played the Harpest and Miss Celine but she was orignally casted as Sookie and they even shot a pilot with her in the role but they recast it. At one point the pilot was on youtube I’m not sure if it still is.

Gilmore Girls was one of my all time favorite shows. I’m so happy for both of them!

I’m just a little thrown off by the name but to each their own!

- ERICKA on

I love them – Barnaby seems to be a name that suits their “fun-ness” for lack of a better word at this hour.

She was originally intended to play Sookie, but couldn’t due to other commitments, so played Drella, the harpist. :)

- dearling on

in the unaired pilot she played sookie

- a on

kelly- Alex played Sookie in the original unaired pilot episode ;) I’ve seen really grainy footage of it, I have to say I like Melissa McCarthy better!

I like the name! How I Met Your Mother’s Barney is one of my favourite TV characters, he likes to say his full name is Barnabus Stinson :D

- stephanie on

I don’t know about Barnaby being ‘out there’ as a name. I’m from the UK and I know quite a few Barnabys. Maybe it’s more popular over here.

- Sydney on

I love the name…it’s my maiden name. :)

- Andrea on

That poor kid is gonna get teased so bad :(

- LanLan on

Teased about what? — LOVE the name!

- brannon on

As a huge Gilmore Girls fan I´m really happy for them. Congrats

If you guys have the Gilmore Girls DvD’S You can watch the original pilot with Alex as Sookie St. James. And Congratulations to the new parents. They better keep busy if they want 4 in 4.

- Lis on

Am I the only one who thought of t.v. detective Barnaby Jones? I know, I’m dating myself, it was on in the 70′s. I’m afraid he’ll get teased too, but maybe he’ll have a cool nickname.
