Vera Farmiga Expecting First Child

The Departed actress Vera Farmiga has announced that she and boyfriend Renn Hawkey are expecting their first child together. Vera, 35, is currently four months along in her pregnancy and was not prepared for the morning sickness that she experienced. "I had this progesterone coursing through my veins and it paralyzed me," she explained." I felt like I had the flu every day … I was useless." That’s all changed and now Vera says that she "feels invincible." Since the morning sickness has passed, Vera is excited for what she calls "the biggest role of my lifetime" — motherhood.

"There has just been a tremendous void in my life, and I just need creative purpose, to have my own family, to be that sovereign queen. That’s all I’ve wanted."
