Lauren, I know exactly which interview you are talking about. It was a few months back, and yes, many people thought she sounded judgemental and self-righteous when talking about her homebrith vs hospital birth. In this short piece, it seems she is being more careful about what she is saying, and is being more clear to speak about herself rather than making a general statement. I am guessing she was made aware of how many people were offended by her previous statements.

After her previous holier-than-thou, judgmental comments regarding her homebirth, I was really hesitant to click on the link to this article. I’m glad I did. Ani did a great job this time of being proud of her experience homebirthing while keeping a level head and acknowledging that it was not all sunshine and rainbows. I also appreciate her comments about not passing what she dislikes about herself on to her daughter and wanting to better her self-image for Petah’s sake, as well as her honesty about seeing Petah for the first time. What a difference an interview makes.
