Becoming a parent has the potential to change a person’s entire outlook on life, and that’s exactly what happened to rocker Shooter Jennings when daughter Alabama Gypsyrose arrived nine months ago. The 29-year-old admits that "I’ve got a shorter fuse now because I want my daughter to grow up in a better world" and that view makes a difference in the music that he makes, he explained.

"I want people to stand up for themselves and what they believe in, and that’s reflected in my music."

Alabama is the first child for Shooter and his girlfriend, actress Drea de Matteo, 36.

I absolutely love Shooter, I’m actually listening to his album right now i got a shock when i came on here and saw his face.

I wonder if Alabama will follow in her father and Grandfathers (and Grandmother) footsteps and be into music or be like her mama and act

Drea de Matteo slightly reminds me of Portia de Rossi, looks-wise.

I can totally understand his point about having a shorter fuse now that he has his daughter!

And Kait, I’ve always thought that, too!

Drea and Portia could be twins! even their names are twin-like!

Every time I see Drea de Matteo, I think she’s Portia de Rossi until I read the story or the caption that goes with the picture. I’m always fooled. LOL

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
