Tom Bergeron Calls Daughters the "Lights of His Life"

Although Tom Bergeron is the first to admit that the real reason he decided to co-host the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon was "mostly because I wanted to meet Jerry Lewis," he goes on to say that he "goes back because I’m a fan of Jerry’s Kids." As a father to two daughters himself — Jessica and Samantha — the Dancing With the Stars co-host shares that Jerry’s passion for these children with muscular dystrophy is "contagious." Tom urges that it is important for the public to meet these kids and pledge, as "your support could help find cures and save lives." Calling his two girls "the lights of my life," Tom, 53, goes on to say, "I also know (but don’t tell them I said this) how often they, by just being themselves, have taught me important lessons about living a life of courage and character. Jerry’s Kids, whether they’re in third grade or middle aged, have done the same thing."

This is Tom’s third year of hosting the 43rd annual telethon, which begins tomorrow evening.
