After winning three silver medals this year at the Olympics, Dara Torres quickly turned her attention to returning to the United States and being reunited with her daughter Tessa. With almost a month having passed since she last saw her 2-year-old little girl, Dara arrived home around 11 p.m. and — not wanting to wake Tessa — spent the night going into her room "like three or four times and just looked at her [and] gave her a kiss." The next morning, the 41-year-old swimmer — who had admitted that leaving her daughter to travel to Beijing would be hard — and her extremely excited little girl were "definitely emotional" during their reunion. Dara explains, "We just kind of held each other. She put her arms around my neck and we just hugged for a little while."
Tessa is Dara’s daughter with partner David Hoffman.
