Love her and Wyatt and I do get what you said the first time you said it Meela. I have been wondering if she would be adding to her family. I have a feeling she’s going to be called mom by a few more blessed babies.

Yes, greatest gift if she could not provide a loving, safe and healthy environment for him. I assume that went without saying but I guess I needed to be crystal clear.

Or, she could have been convinced (by others, society, herself…) that she wouldn’t be a good mom, and chose to place her child…

Obviously you’re not implying that she’s a bad person, but by saying that the greatest gift she ever gave him was giving him up, you’re implying that Sheryl is a better mom than she would have been.

Is there some kind of cryptic message in my above statement? Because as usually people read and see what they want to see without regard to what was meant by the writer. Stating that my comment on adoption is uneducated is a little presumptuous on your part. My original intent was simply to state that regardless of why anyone gives up a child for adoption “most” times it’s out of love, unless the child is taken away for mistreatment. So for me to state my opinion, that if you are not in the position to take care of you child and opt to give them up for adoption it is a gift to that child if they can find a loving home somewhere else. I really don’t understand what issue could be taken with such a statement. So please do enlighten me and feel free to properly educate me on what I don’t quite seem to understand.

At no point in time did I suggest that his biological mother was a bad person. But she was obviously a wise enough woman to recognize the importance of giving her son a chance at a better life. People give children up for adoption for many different reasons and I am certainly not here to judge any of them. But like I stated earlier he has been a wonderful blessing to Sheryl. So please do not twist my words in any way!

Meela, that’s a very uneducated comment on adoption. His biological mother could have been a fantastic mother to him, none of us have any idea. Not all biological mothers give their children up because they aren’t fit to raise them, there is a multitude of reasons (and money doesn’t necessarily come into it).

Giving Wyatt up was the greatest gift that his biological mother could give him. Look at how much is he loved by his mother Sheryl. It’s such a beautiful thing to see when a child is so loved and is given a fair shot at a decent life. Keep up the good work Sheryl by continuing to love and nourish him!!!! He is the sweetest looking boy and deserves nothing but the best!
