Gossip Girl's Matthew Settle to Be a Dad

Matthew_settle_2 Matthew Settle plays a father on Gossip Girl — good practice for real life, as he’s just announced that wife Naama Nativ is pregnant! The 38-year-old actor, who has also appeared on Brothers and Sisters and Band of Brothers, shared the good news at the show’s season two premiere party on Saturday, his rep confirms.

A source at the party tells Life & Style, "He seemed so pumped about it, and Naama was glowing. He was so attentive to her. It was sweet.”

The baby will arrive this winter.

Congratulations to them, I love this cute couple so much! I know through a friend that she is preggy, so I’m happy since weeks.

An ask: Can I use your nice article and the pic for my little, uncommercial fansite?
I know there a many peaple who don’t ask, but I try to ask where I can. I hope you answer me. Of course I’ll put it on with credit.

Congrats to them.

I love that the parents in Gossip Girl have teenage kids in the show and yet in real life are only just having their first children!

Anyone know where his wife is from? Her name is some tongue twister, lol!

- Nicole on

I agree with Beth–it’s very funny watching these actors/actresses pretend to be older than they are on TV (or, pretend to be people who had kids at age 16, which seems mathematically impossible). It’s a little distracting, actually.

Very cool that Matthew Settle and his wife are having a baby!

Na’ama Nativ is Israeli–it’s a Hebrew name.

I love them, congratulations! BTW: Naama is from Israel;)
