Surrogacy Provided Katey Sagal with Her 'Little Gift'
Actress Katey Sagal was 50 when she and actor/writer husband Kurt Sutter tied the knot, and the former Married with Children star knew that she was "too old to carry a baby, if you want the truth." The couple decided to explore adoption and surrogacy as ways to grow their family, and "left it up to whatever happened quicker." Katey and Kurt were pleased to find that the surrogacy process "was a lot easier than we thought," and welcomed their "little gift," daughter Esmé Louise, on January 10th, 2007. Parenting Esmé has "just been an amazing experience that I was not prepared for," Katey admits, but shares that it "now feels completely normal to me."
Katey, 54, is also mom to daughter Sarah Grace, 14, and son Jackson James, 12, from her marriage to musician/photographer Jack White.
