Sam Harris Says His Life is An 'Embarassment of Riches'

A new album and a new baby have left Sam Harris counting his blessings, but not counting sheep. In a recent interview, the 47-year-old singer and actor says that since welcoming son Cooper Atticus, 4 months, he is "exhausted" and "sleep deprived" — and like many new parents — "trying to do to much." But he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Really, my life is so overwhelming. It’s truly an embarrassment of riches right now. With a new CD, a talk show, a baby, a long-term relationship; you know, all these great things.

Cooper is the first child for Sam — the winner of the premiere season of Star Search — and his partner, Danny Jacobsen. Sam’s eighth studio album, Free, is available now.

Aww, I don’t know who he is, but that picture of the 3 of them is really cute.

Also, the article says he’s 45, but the post here says he’s 47, which is correct?

I not only remember Sam on Star Search, but had his first album (on vinyl, no less!). Wide-eyed Cooper is too cute for words, and his dads obviously adore him.

I grew up with Danny and he is a great guy. Such a cute pic of he and Sam with precious little Cooper. They look so happy, congratulations.

Believe it or not, I had never heard of Sam until the Friend Friday episode with Bridget Moynahan. That was enough for me. It was love at first sight and I count myself as a huge fan of his. I love the way he stepped in and helped BM through a tough time. And I am so very happy for he and Danny on their recent parenthood. Little Cooper Atticus(love that name, btw!)is too adorable and they make a beautiful family. I wish Sam all the luck with his new career move and I wish he and Danny all the best with Cooper.
