Max Sutter's First Birthday Bash!

A year after his early delivery by emergency c-section, Maxwell Alston Sutter has caught up, grown up, and is ready to party! Max, who celebrated his first birthday on July 25th, was the guest of honor on Saturday as Bachelorette star parents Trista and Ryan Sutter, along with a little help from MOMLogic, toasted their baby’s first year.

Working with Hostess with the Mostess, Trista chose a CandyLand theme for the party — then left the rest up to MOMLogic readers to decide! They chose the party favors, menu (sliders and snow cone french fries), a candy buffet, and chocolate cupcakes. The birthday boy, who had a small boo-boo on his cheek, dug right in!

I did a Candy Land theme for my daughter’s second birthday. It wasn’t to such an extreme, but it was still a blast. I made the cake look like the gameboard, with starburst for the spaces.

He looks like a handful! How fun.

how fun! love the candy bar theme and the sliders and french fries in snow cones – i’ve used that once for a party too. it’s such a suprise and everyone’s favorite. max looks adorable. i can’t decide if he looks like trista or ryan yet – but definitely the best of both his parents – very cheerful and happy.

Seems Max decimated that cake! Love the little triumphant smile of his, lol.

And I think Ryan looks better with his hair off, very closely cropped, than with it in those shaggier numbers he’s had.

Dannie he was born preemie and was ill, so yes he is small. Having had a preemie myself I am always happy to see them thrive.
