Twins Pitcher Glen Perkins Welcomes Lyla Cynthia

Minnesota Twins player Glen Perkins and his wife Alisha welcomed daughter Lyla Cynthia Perkins on Sunday, August 10th at 5:58 pm CT. She weighed 8 lbs and was 21 inches long. Lyla is the second daughter for the couple; their oldest child, Addison, is 20 months.

The 25-year-old pitcher was with his team in Kansas City, MO when he received word on Sunday morning that Alisha had gone into labor. Glen then flew to Minnesota to be with his wife, but was able to be back with the team yesterday.
