Sam Hornish Jr.'s Worries Melted Away by Fatherhood
Sam Hornish Jr. hasn’t had an easy transition into the NASCAR world, but as long as the race-car driver has his daughter Addison Faith, 6 months, he will survive. Relating the events of June 8th, when a frustrated Sam walked in following a disappointing race, the 29-year-old "took one look at his daughter … she was smiling and he started playing with her," said his wife Crystal. It’s a bond that Sam’s mother Jo Ellen is convinced began when Crystal was carrying Addison, calling her son "so proud."
Now that Addison is out of the newborn stage, she and Crystal enjoy being on the road with Sam, whose job involves a lot of travel. Each week, the couple’s motor home is transformed into baby’s home away from home, complete with a portable crib, play mat and high chair. Crystal laughingly shared that, "There’s nowhere to sit," and there are "baby bottles all over the countertop!"
