Surfer Babies: Matthew McConaughey and Cole Hauser Hit the Beach with Kids

Buddies Camila Alves and Cynthia Daniel worked out together during their pregnancies, but now that their baby boys are here, they’re relaxing on the beach! While the dads — Matthew McConaughey and Cole Hauser — surfed, Camila, 25, little Levi, 5 weeks, and Cynthia, 32, and her sons Ryland, 4 next month, and 8-week-old Colt, hung out on the sandy Malibu shores over the weekend.

It confuses me no end when people lug around their babies in car seats, Jessica Alba was doing it the other day too.

Camila has the right idea, little Levi is is snuggled right next to mom, and mom has free hands.

very cute! If a baby is already sleeping in the car seat, it is alot easier to leave them in the car seat carrier than to wake them up to be put in a sling.

Sometimes it is just easier to have your baby continue to stay strapped in to their carseat instead of taking them out and having to adjust them into a sling.

..also, if a baby has reflux, it is easier to put them in their infant car seats after feeds, etc., rather than lieing flat.

My youngest DS had reflux, and he couldn’t have any pressure on his tummy, or he would puke all over both of us, and then have hick-ups for hours. So he was most comfortable semi-upright on his back in the car-seat or bouncer, and guess what? I could never wear him in the first six months even though I very much wanted to. People have diferrent reasons for the things they do the way they do them, and who’s to say which way is better:)

That is such a cute picture! I understand Matthew and Cole have been good friends for a long time, so it seems natural their partners would become friends and they’d all hang out together, especially seeing as the babies are only 3 weeks apart. Rather a nice coincidence Camila and Cynthia were pregnant at the same time. At first I couldn’t see Colt, then realied Cynthia was carrying a car seat. I guess there’s a reason why Colt isn’t in a sling like Levi. I know some babies aren’t able to be in a sling, something about their reflux, especially after feeding, or maybe they’re just not comfortable and end up wailing so yeah, but dang it looks awfully uncomfortable lugging around the car seat. By the way, the article says Ryland was there too, but he’s not in the picture unless Cole is carrying him?

That’s a 3 1/2 year old boy behind Camila? Somehow I don’t think that’s Ryland, coz on that person behind Camila, the knees are cut off by the incline not to mention that’s one heck of a big bag.

It is, promise. He’s in the other photos, problem is, no one else looks good so we didn’t purchase. Ryland’s basically 4, his birthday is next month – I’ll change the post to reflect. And the bag just has his plastic beach toys in it, probably not very heavy.

The kid behind Camila is 3 1/2? He looks tall enough to be 8! They are one damn good looking group. I can’t wait to see the babies playing on the beach.

camila is almost always in white…..i think she is the only one on earth who can pull that off so well with her gorgeous skin tone and dark hair.

Ok, where does time go? It seems like Cynthia had her first baby yesterday. She is a close childhood friend of someone I am close to and I remember seeing a newborn Ryland via a personal cell phone pic like it was yesterday. That is crazy. BTW they are a very sweet couple in real life.

Well I think that there is nothing wrong about either a car seat or slinger. They are both safe for carrying around your baby.
