Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and her 2-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna celebrated Geri’s 36th birthday with a spin on the carousel — something that Bluebell didn’t look too sure about! The pair visited Disneyland on Wednesday in California.

Bluebell often looks sad. I remember reading that when she was a baby, she had a nanny who was charged with physically abusing her. That was so awful and I think the effect of a painful experience like that can’t be underestimated. Who really knows how extensive the abuse was- she was only an infant at the time and couldn’t report back to her mother. Geri saw bruises one day and that was evidence, but often abuse does not have that evidence, and there was probably psychological abuse as well- harshness, yelling.
I remember reading one article that said now that the nanny was gone from her life, Bluebell was okay. Okay? I don’t think so..

She does look a little sad. But, I’ve seen kids who suffered horrendous and horrific abuse, who’ve gotten back on track after “play therapy”. I can’t speak highly enough of the benefits of “Play Therapy” and all of the dolls, toys, books, blankets and sleep aids that seem to help mother’s who are working through a problem. I’ve even considered it myself to help restore my “inner child”. Of course, having a loving mother and family unit, will be the greatest asset.

It’s really sad if Bluebell suffered abuse…
But I was thinking that she just looks TIRED! Long day at the park type thing…
She looks like she wants to take a nap!

I doubt very much that the ‘abuse’ has affected Bluebell to the point where she is sad all the time. I’m not dismissing the fact that abused children turn inward because of course they do, but this is highly unlikely in this case, even if there was abuse that took place, especially given the child’s age at the time. Some children are just not bubbly and happy all the time. Or it could just be that the photographers have been unlucky in not catching Bluebell smiling yet.

Oh for God’s sake. Seriously, all these paparazzi pictures we see of celebrities are taken probably on the span of one hour. In some cases even a few seconds.

I personally think she just looks tired and hot. Her cheeks are all red, a lot of times when children are hot their face is the first sign.
I think she is a happy child, her mother seems to be a good one. And, I am sure as young as she is she is coping with the “former abuse” by a nanny. I say it that way because I haven’t read an article about it so I am very misinformed on that topic.

She looks very tired, plus she may be scared of the carousel. Disneyland may be exhausting !!! I dont think this has to do anything with teh abuse, plus she would get over it by now as well, especially this small

she looks like my two and a half year old niece. All the curls. Some people ask my best friend if she spends all day curling her hair. She is like I have two kids that are under the age of three, I don’t have time. (Her girls are 20 months apart.)
