I have a Dyson and I love it very much — it sucks up so much dirt, and you can see it working through that clear window of swirling dirt. But the one drawback is it’s not recommended on wool carpets. But wool carpets (not acrylic, which most people have) are more environmentally friendly and don’t off-gas the toxins that the acrylics do. We use the vacuum on the wool carpet anyway (since we discovered this after we bough it, oh well) and who knows what our carpets would look like if we had used a non-Dyson vacuum, but so far everything seems to be working fine.

I love the thought of this Vacuum, in australia we do not have it yet. I have been through 3 dysons, they all gave up sucking after a year. Its a shame i spent a small fortune on them.

I finally broke down and bought a refurbished Dyson Slim at woot for $259. I’m such a Dyson convert now!!! I love it!

My husband (a Brit) had been after me for months to get a Dyson. I kept saying no, saying it was too expensive. After many months, I gave in….and I LOVE IT. It is the best vacuum I have ever owned. Yes, Obscenely expensive but sooo worth it, especially if you get the “animal” models to handle pet hair. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and it is the best vacuum ever!

I’ve never read a negative review of Dyson vacuums, and I read a LOT of shelter website and magazines. Even Consumer Reports has backed off their initial diss. I hope to be able to afford one soon!

I don’t have the new Dyson ball vacuum, but I have a Dyson and I absolutely LOVE it! It is the only vacuum I have had last more than 2 years with absolutely nothing breaking!
