3 Sprouts: Hooded towels that live up to the hype

Chico_2 I admit, the hooded towel concept has always kind of been lost on me. As a mom of two, I never really felt any urgent need for our boys to be dried off with something that included a hood, when the regular old bath towel seemed to do the trick just fine. But since receiving two hooded towels from 3 Sprouts, I am beginning to rethink my stance.

3 Sprouts — headquartered in Canada — makes some of the cutest baby accessories around, employing organic fabrics and fun textures at every turn. Whether it’s a green corduroy frog beanbag chair or a quilted sleep sack, their products are the epitome of cute, but I have to say the hooded towels take the cake for me. We sampled Elfie ($36), an elephant character complete with polka-dotted ears, a trunk and button eyes (see photo below-right), as well as Chico ($39) a chicken with a big orange beak, button eyes and feathers (see photo above-left).

Elfie Each hooded towel is incredibly thick and cozy courtesy of double-layering. Elfie, which is non-organic, comes available in navy, pink and cream; Chico, available in brown and cream, is certified organic.  Both towels feature a Turkish terry interior that positively soaks up water and a french knit exterior that both looks and feels great. At 29-inches square, 3 Sprouts hooded towels are a good size for newborns right on up through early toddlers. They come beautifully packaged with a red grosgrain ribbon, making them a great new baby gift — especially if you have a friend who is into all things organic.

3 Sprouts are available throughout Canada and in select stores within the United States, like Giggle and Tottini.

I adore 3 Sprouts Organic Hooded Bath Towels, too! They really are sized generously, so they are one of those gifts that keeps on giving!
