Pro Golfer Will MacKenzie Welcomes Maverick Noah

Pro golfer Will MacKenzie, 33, withdrew from the Canadian Open this past week as he and his wife Alli welcomed son Maverick Noah MacKenzie on Saturday, July 26th.  The couple’s first child weighed 7 lbs, 4 oz.

Will, who gave up golf in high school and did not start playing again until 10 years later, won his first PGA tournament in 2006 at the Reno-Tahoe Open.

I thought everyone was going to bash this name. I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks this is one of the coolest names ever. I’m not a particular fan of Noah, but it works well with Maverick, it sort of softens it a bit.

Congratulations Will and Alli. I spoke with Will’s mother a few weeks ago and she told me that the baby’s name was going to be Maverick. I think that it is a great name. Will ask your mother about my name, she will have a long one for you. I am aname person. I just think it’s a great name and again congratulations Will and Alli!!!!
