Jason Jones and Samantha Bee Welcome Second Child

07/29/2008 at 03:30 PM ET

Samantha_beeDaily Show senior correspondents Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, 39, welcomed son Fletcher on Friday, June 20th. Fletcher joins big sister Piper, 2 ½. Jason, 41, shared that "Fletcher Jones, is that not a quarterback’s name? My kid is going to be a quarterback for the Hamilton Tiger Cats one day."

The couple, who met when they were both cast members in a Canadian National Exhibition live-action production, joked that they "bonded through our mutual dislike of the children, which is ironic because we’re raising some now."

The pregnancy was announced in January.

Haha, a mention of my hometown team! Are these two from the Hamilton area or are they just Ontarians?

Fletcher Jones is a big car dealer (Mercedes) in southern cal so that name just reminds me of cars!

zaraB on

Fletcher Jones is also the name of a cheap men’s clothing store in Australia!

That’s odd, their first child has a hyphenated surname, Piper Bee-Jones, why doesn’t the second kid?

Sadie on

Lara- maybe Jason thought Fletcher Bee-Jones isn’t a quarterback’s name lol

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
