Doesn’t really sound “unconventional”; maybe “progressive” might be a better word.

I hate when actors have to promote movies and they do all these press junkets and interviews and it’s an information overload. And I don’t know if it’s (1) that they feel like they have to say something that makes them sound more interesting than you or me, or (2) that they have done so many interviews in one day that they are deliriously tired and say stupid things, but I’m getting tired of it. Take all the Minnie Driver stuff for instance.

I like Maria Bello (I think a lot of the work that she has done shows that she is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable on screen), but me reading that her kid ate some scorpions on a stick at 7 doesn’t make me think that he is “fearless.” Actors talk a big talk most of the time, and I feel like most of the time it’s a bunch of “hot air” as my grandma would say.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s that I am awake at 3 a.m. and all I want is to get back to sleep so I’m a little critical.

It would be great if all parents who are no longer together could get along like this. Maybe then her life would not seem so unconventional. Her son is very lucky that he does have not have to choose between his parents!
