Marcia Cross and Eden Shop with Smiles

Actress Marcia Cross, 46, and daughter Eden, 17 months, smiled at Tom Mahoney and twin Savannah (not pictured) while browsing the shops on Montana Avenue on Monday in Los Angeles. The new season of Desperate Housewives, which jumps ahead five years, willpremiere September 28th at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Aw, Eden is just precious, and I love how happy Marcia always looks…I wish we could see Tom and Savannah’s faces too, just a beautiful family.

April – I doubt they will try for a boy, Marcia has promised EP Marc Cherry that she won’t get pregnant again, although she said she’s not ruling out adoption.

Why is Savannah rarely seen anymore? It seems that Marcia is always seen with Eden. Savanna is most often “not pictured”. If she is, Eden is in the same frame. Is there a reason for that? G forbid, Savannah is not well?

This is a beautiful picture of Marcia and Eden. This family always looks so happy it is just so lovely to see. I’m glad that everything worked out for Marcia because she always wanted a family.

Do we know for sure they used donor eggs (did MC actually say so)? Every time I see pix of them, I think Eden looks just like Marcia, and Savannah looks just like Tom. Maybe just a happy coincidence, but in any case, a gorgeous family!

Tricia- No, Marcia never said anything about using donor eggs. The only thing she confirmed was that they used IVF. Personally, I don’t understand how anyone can say she used donor eggs when Eden obviously looks so much like her (very similar to the way people used to insist that Suri was not Tom Cruise’s biological daughter, even though she has always looked very much like him!)! Sometimes I think that Savannah looks like her, too!

Donor eggs were almost guaranteed to have been used because doctors treating infertility never use the eggs of women over 40 due to the viability and quality of the egg. There are many websites and on-line articles that discuss this issue.

Ellen Smith- Then why does Eden look so much like Marcia? And for the record, I remember one commentor on CBB saying that she had twins after 40, using HER OWN EGGS!

Eden does look like Marcia, but that is because many people who use donor eggs choose an egg donor with similar characteristics to the mother. My cousin’s wife underwent IVF and her kids look very much like her, but she used donor eggs. Again, if you research the issue you will learn that no doctor will perform IVF in a woman over 40 and use her eggs. Donor eggs are always used to ensure health and viability. This doesn’t make her less of a mother to these two girls.
