Bambini Carini: Luxury accessories for baby

07/29/2008 at 06:00 AM ET

Bambinicarini1 If you take pride in your gift-giving, and you detour off the baby registry every chance you get, then have I got an online boutique for you!  Bambini Carini — which means ‘cute child’ in Italian — is a one-stop shop for sophisticated, luxurious baby accessories that are guaranteed to steal the spotlight at the next baby shower you attend.

Speaking of showers — or baths, as the case may be! — we recently received a Bambini Carini bath sack ($53; shown at left) in the circus toile print. My only regret about this product is that they don’t make one big enough for me.  Crafted of plush terry velour, it’s no wonder the bath sack is one of Bambini Carini’s best selling products.  An adorable print adorns the front seam and also appears on the turned cuffs (keeps tiny hands warm!) and hood. I love the bath sack not only because it’s so pretty, but because it’s so functional at the same time.  It is thick enough that you can just lay it out on the floor next to the tub and put your wet, wiggly baby inside while you tend to an older sibling or get your diapering supplies and pajamas together.

Bambinicarini2 Want a really knock-your-socks off gift? The bath sack easily coordinates with Bambini Carini’s other offerings, including boutique-style blankets which reverse to cable-knit cotton ($75; shown at right), luxe burp cloths ($25 for two), hooded towel/washcloth sets ($37) and reversible bibs with pearl snaps ($16.50).  If you’ve been charged with the task of gifting the expectant mom who seemingly has everything, you’ll definitely be able to find her something at Bambini Carini.

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
