Actor Kelsey Grammer, 53, wife Camille Donatacci, 39, and kids Mason Olivia, 6 ½, and Jude Gordon, 3 ½, posed for a photo at the 11th Annual Super Saturday benefit for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund held in Water Mill, NY. Kelsey, who suffered a heart attack in May, is currently hospitalized as doctors alter his medications. He is expected to be released Tuesday.

First of all…What a beautiful family! I didn’t know that they had a son as well! I am behind! My question is, I believe I had read that Mason was through a surrogate…was Jude as well? Maybe this is too personal (and if it is, I won’t be offended if no one answers or this comment is blocked!), but I am wondering if the children are Camille’s biologically or just Kelsey’s? I guess I am just curious because they look SO much like Camille (IMO!) and also because as someone who can not wait to be a mom in the near future and find all o this REALLY fascinating!

Hi Angie, I don’t think your question is wrong as Kelsey has been quite open about it in the past. But from what I remember on his quotes, is that Camilla can’t have or carry I should say, children on her own. So they had a surrogate mother which explains the resemblense. Now if I am wrong about this story, please, someone let me know.:)

Angie, yes they are biologically theirs, Camille just can’t carry a pregnancy so they used a gestational surrogate. SUCH cute kids! I hope Kelsey is okay and is released from the hospital soon.

Thanks Kim, I appreciate your help! That is great that Kelsey and Camille are very open! But I guess I was just wondering if they had used Camille’s eggs or the surrogate’s (this is why I was afraid my question MIGHT be too personal!) because I was always under the impression that those options were available…because for Dennis Quaid’s twins, didn’t they use his wife’s eggs and then the surrogate carried them? That is why I mentioned the resemblences!

Yes, I believe they used their own egss and sperm but only had the help of the surrogate mom when it comes to carry the children.
Also, your question came across as very respectful (the way you put it) so I am absolutely sure you don’t need to worry on getting it blocked.
