Kelley Menighan Hensley's Pet Peeve: Arguing

Kelley_menighan_hensleyEveryone has pet peeves, and actress Kelley Menighan Hensley‘s involves her kids — Sophie May, 9 ½, Spencer James, 6 ½, and Georgia "Gigi" Grace, 13 months.  The As the World Turns star admits "my kids fighting and arguing over stupid stuff annoys me to no end," adding that she just "want[s] to take everything away and leave them with one book to play with."  The fighting that Kelley’s kids do just makes the 41-year-old realize that "our children are so overindulged — and we’ve probably created it — that I can’t stand it."

Kelley and her husband, fellow ATWT actor Jon Hensley, 42, have been married since 1996.

ooohh tell me!!
my kids argue over such trival things like “she got more milk than me” or “he had more cereal than me” & i say “think about the children that dont have milk or cereal like you guys?”
its all part of growing up because i cant remember saying the same to my mother but she will remind me that i said something similar to my brother or sister!
and the best bit…..
wait till you have kids…

then you find you say the same thing as your parents!!

the joys of having children!!

Thank goodness my son is not like that because I have zero patience for screamers.

Max’sMom…if you only have one that’s probably why he doesn’t do it. They feed off of each other. They never do it when they are alone….If you have a second child you’ll know exactly what Kelley meant.
I know exactly what she’s talking about and it drives me nuts too!!!

I’m not a parent (yet), but I work I’m an early childhood teacher so am surrounded by the under 5 set all day. My number one pet peeve is whining. ‘But she puuunched me!’ Or a child will say so and so’s kicking me as the child is kicking them and asks me to tell them to stop it. I’m not the one doing the kicking, tell them to stop! aaah, children, how we love them so.

I have 4 kids so I have a couple things that gets to me…

The fighting over EVERYTHING…I got 56 cherrios and she got 67! She took a longer bath than me, her cup is taller than mine!

My youngest daughter talks in an advanced state of whine. It drives me NUTS…we have to remind ehr all the time to takl in her big girl voice.

And my 14 month old learned hwo to squeal like a pig and now does it 10 hours a day…and his sisters laugh at him so he does it louder….LOL

I agree about having one, because there is no one causing them issues, no one to compete with, so they tend to be much mroe quieter. I know when I only have 2 here its alot less noisy and when I have 1 its a breeze.

But, when I am gone on the weekends I can’t wait to get back home and altho we have a loud house our kids are really good kids and caring, kind and empathetic people.
