Birth story:

Story arrived in the evening of July 23rd, 2007. He was born via c-section as he was overdue, and following his arrival Jenna spoke of the Scientology birth. Bodhi added that the silent birth was about "creating a serene environment." Weighing in at 7 lb, 2 oz., Story is the child that Bodhi and Jenna waited 16 years for.

Name meaning:

Jenna explained that in September 2006, just before they started trying to conceive, Bodhi turned to her and said, ‘How about Story Elias?’ Jenna said that instantly she "loved it." Bodhi added, "I just think ‘story’ is a great word. What’s better than a great story?"

What they said:

At her shower Jenna put our cards asking for advice on how to parent and raise her child. "I wanted all those tricks in a book," she said. "All I got was, ‘Just love your baby.’"

After the birth Bodhi said, that his son is just a "beautiful kid." He added that their long-awaited son is the "spitting image of Jenna. He likes to listen and look. His eyes are always open. He’s a cool dude."

The first moments when a child arrives are often the most special for his or her parents. For Jenna it was all about that instant connection. Jenna said that she felt "an intense, organic calm come over" her and that she feels that the effect of having a child is "magical."

Jenna has also said that her son is a little busy bee; "He’s so social! He loves to look at people, and he’s very friendly."

She also added that her favorite part about motherhood is "carrying him everywhere." With the help of a baby carrier Jenna takes Story to meetings, wears him around the house and out shopping.
