Update: Louise Redknapp Expecting Second Son

Louiseredknapp320058_cbb_2Update: Louise and Jamie have announced that they are expecting a second son. New pregnancy photos, appearing in this week’s Hello!, are available at The Daily Mail.

Originally posted May 9th: British model Louise Redknapp is 3 ½-months pregnant with the second child for she and footballer husband Jamie Redknapp, The Sun is reporting today.  In a campaign for Triumph Lingerie, Louise recently appeared scantily clad in a series of advertisements, but says that "there will be no [more] modeling for a while."  The 33-year-old added that "I’m really happy."

Louise has spoken previously about her struggles to conceive the couple’s first child Charley William, 3 ½, due to infertility brought on by endometriosis.

It took me four years to have Charley and so this time, after just amonth, it was very unexpected. We had talked about having another babyand we kind of expected the same problems as last time.

Time was going on and I was thinking, ‘This is a bit strange’ but Ithought it was just my body playing up. When I did the pregnancy test,I nearly fell off the chair. My friend popped in and I dragged herupstairs and said, ‘You’ve got to look at this. Am I reading it wrong?’I rang Jamie straight away. He was saying, ‘Right, OK, I’ll call youback’ because he couldn’t talk. He was absolutely delighted, though.

It was such a relief to think I wouldn’t have to go through all thattreatment to get pregnant again. The doctors don’t know why it has beenso much easier this time — it’s just the luck of the draw I guess. Butpeople do also say that the best cure for endometriosis is having ababy. I just feel incredibly lucky.

Louise is due in November. She and Jamie plan to find out the sex when they can, as Louise "couldn’t stand not knowing!"

I don’t know who she is, but I am very happy for her. This issue really strikes close to home for me.

My sister and her first husband tried to have a baby for 3 years. She suffered from infertility due to endometriosis. Their struggles eventually led to the decline of their marriage. She remarried and tried for an additional 2 years with her new husband. As soon as they came to terms with the fact that they might never have a baby, she found out she was pregnant. They are wanting to add to their family again, but are unsure if they will suffer the same struggles as before. But, on a positive note, they have a beautiful little girl and my sister hasn’t had any more drawbacks from the endometriosis.

I’m so happy for them both. They’re such a cute couple & such a close family. I’m especially happy for them since it’s came at such a hard time for Jamie’s family when his aunt Pat [Frank Lampard Jnr of Chelsea's mum] passed away after a short bout of pneumonia & I’m sure this great news is going to sput everyone on – especially Jamie’s own mum who was Pat’s twin sister.
Best of luck to Louise with the rest of her pregnancy!

oh bless them, they so deserve this! Louise and Jamie are definitely the most down to earth footballing couple around, they tried so hard to conceive the first time with charley its good to know that they had less trouble this time.

Dana: Louise used to be in a girl group called Eternal, and now presents the clothes show live, and Jamie is an ex-England player who is now a football pundit.
they are a LOVELY couple!
