Christian Bale says he won't miss daughter's childhood "for anything"

Christianbale In the August issue of GQ UK, actor Christian Bale says he wants to teach his 3-year-old daughter  "’whatever you do, do it completely." That’s why you won’t see the 34-year-old actor shying away from stunts in his films.  Says Christian,

People will say, ‘Why is he still doing this crazy s–t?’ But I’m OK with that. I’d like my daughter to see me do these things, as I saw my father do some crazy things and I learned to appreciate it.

Regardless of the role, Christian says he has no interest in being taken away from Emmaline for long periods of time. "I’m not going to miss her growing up for anything," he vows, "not even for Batman." Calling his daughter a "little rascal," Christian says that the time the two spend together is "just incredible." He adds,

I’m certainly not going to be one of those fathers who picks up a photo of his daughter and has regrets about not being around.

Emmaline is the first child for Christian and wife Sandra ‘Sibi’ Blazic, who married in 2000.

I absolutely love his daughter’s name. Feminine and elegant without being vanilla. And I can’t wait to see Christian in The Dark Knight. I really respect him for keeping a low profile and going into work, doing his job, and leaving as opposed to sticking around to keep his name in the papers. Good for him that he stands by his principles when almost everyone else is doing the opposite.

How do you say her name? Emma-line or Emma-leen?

I love how he has stayed out of all the Hooywood drama. He is here in my city making TERMINATOR IV and let me tell you, he is hard to find. :) He blends into the city and no one has seen him AT ALL. Cant wait for BATMAN on Friday.

What a beautiful name and lovely comments by her adoring father.

Id leave my husband for him… so I second that. Drool… LOL What is it about a man who genuinely cares for his child and shows with the way he handles said child and the expression on his face.

She is the cutest thing, seriously. And him, I just adore. Cannot *wait* to see TDK (is it the weekend yet?!!)

Btw, the actual GQ article has it spelled Emmeline.
