Apple photo albums: picture perfect!

Applebook I am possibly the worst mom when it comes to putting together photo albums. Out of the zillions of shots I’ve taken of my daughter I’ve only even printed about a dozen. As a GenXer, I’m a computer girl. Well, for any other moms out there like me, Apple makes it a lot easier to create fun, beautiful keepsakes that you and your kid will love looking at over the years.

Using iPhoto, you can put together a photo book online, with or without text;  You can also create calendars and greeting cards with ease. The books are incredibly cool. They come in hardcover, softcover, or wirebound (ranging in price from $3.99 to $29.99) and are printed on high quality paper. Created entirely on your computer, you control everything from the size of the photos, to the layout, to the color of the background. Click ‘buy’ and it uploads the whole thing to the people at Apple.

One week later, the book is in your hands! I just made a ‘Book for Grandpa’ for my father-in-law’s birthday and he can’t stop asking, "How did you do that?!" I can’t wait to put together another for my own coffee table.

Don’t pick the softcover option, I have had two and they both fell apart, the laminating comes off. If I do another one, I will spring extra for the hardcover.

I tried this one for my honeymoon and they are essentially the same as what Shutterfly and Kodak Gallery offer, w/ the same quality and general idea. I am a huge addict of http://www.howfasttheygrow.com, which I discovered here on CBB, for my scrapbooking. I order individual pages and they are amazing. Also, I like the idea of having one book that grows with your child.
