Jaime Pressly feels like "a chicken with your head cut off"

Jamie_pressly_317a564b99317960920_2While a good workout at the gym can cause anyone to burn off some calories, actress Jaime Pressly also gives credit where it is deserved: to chasing after her 13-month-old son Dezi James.  Being a mother to an active toddler, Dezi has his mom on her feet all day with "a lot of running around" and while Jaime simply attributes his curiosity to being "a really intelligent kid," she also admits that it can be exhausting!

It makes you run around like a chicken with your head cut off because he’s all over the place and he’s very determined.

As for now, Jaime and fiancé Eric Cubiche plans to tie the knot are nonexistent, with Jaime saying that being engaged — which was done "for the baby’s sake" — suits them just fine.  Using their energy to focus on "our child and our careers" leaves them little time to worry about "when the date is," which is no worry for the new parents who are "really happy with the way things are."

I’ve heard of getting married because you were expecting a baby, but just getting engaged?

I agree jillyen. I’m not sure what she means by that comment. Being married, that I can understand but just putting a ring on someones finger? I also don’t understand why people use the excuse of being “to busy” to plan a wedding. If you don’t want to get married then just say that. Don’t make excuses for why you “cant”.

So why get engaged? Plenty of unmarried couples raise children now. And if we’re getting technical, “engaged” is short for “engaged to be married.” But to each their own, I suppose.

hate to admit it bc i’m not really a big fan, but that’s a cute picture of them. i don’t get the engaged thing either? although in thinking about it, since i usually argue that you should get married if you want, not get married if you don’t want to, etc… then i suppose if you only want to be engaged – so be it :) maybe she just wanted a ring but decided they didn’t need paperwork. never a bad reason for wanting diamonds :)

I’m not getting the whole we’re engaged but not getting married. If you’re engaged, then you should be ready and willing to get married tomorrow. To me, that’s what getting engaged means…You’re ready to get married!
