I love the way she dresses her daughter. No haute couture for her....just reasonable, functional and child friendly. And it looks as though Ramona has her mother's facial expressions down pat! LOL

Jane, I think she meant that if she didn't had the calm nature motherhood has given her ever since, she probably wouldn't have figured out how to calm two children on a film set. And since she pointed out they otherwise would never stopped screaming, the actual filming on that day would not have happened as it would have been very difficult for a director to shoot like this. So I think she just tried to say in a somewhat funny way, that she 'saved' the (filming) day.

I thought that quote was strange! Below:
"If I had not been a mom and known how to calm a baby and known how to talk to a baby and known how to hold a baby, the whole day of filming would have been wasted"
As I began reading it, I really thought she was going in a different direction with what she was saying...
something maybe from the babies' perspective-how tough it must have been for them to be screaming for such a long time, how much distress these little ones must have been in. Instead, she concluded with- the whole day would have been wasted. Kind of struck me as cold and Type A- a little uptight! Plus, it's not only mothers who would be capable of calming a baby- plenty of people have that ability with children who aren't mothers.
